Annapurna Round Treks one of the popular names in trekking at Annapurna range of Nepal is Annapurna Circuit trek often known as Thorang la Pass trek or Round Trek which reaches up to an elevation about 5500 M. Annapurna Circuit Treks is mainly carried on four regions i.e. Lamjung, Manang, Mustang and Myagdi. The trek is conducted counter clockwise as elevation gradually increases which prevents trekkers from different hazards and altitude sickness. During this journey you will be encircling whole Annapurna region enjoying flora, fauna, glaciers, waterfalls, rivers, pilgrimage sites, sunrise and nature gifts especially mountains. Annapurna Region is regarded as an ultimate trekking in Annapurna Region as you will be travelling a long distance and experiencing nature and people at their best.
Annapurna Round Treks begins from Kathmandu Valley and trailing counter clockwise to west, Beshisahar to Marshyandi river gorge through green paddy fields, villages, waterfalls and many more. We trail towards Manang through different remote villages like Syange, Bharatang, Pisang, and many more. From Manang you will depart for Thorang La Pass to famous pilgrimage site Muktinath Temple, down to Jomsom to Tatopani i.e. hot water springs, Poon Hill-Ghorepani view of spectacular sunrise and after we reach Phedi, you will be back to Pokhara and return back to Kathmandu and then to your own place. In this journey you will get chances to see whole Annapurna Region, Mountains, Wildlife and many more. Annapurna Circuit/Round Treks is of medium grade so it requires healthy body with sound mind, good physical fitness and strength. It can take up to minimum of 15-20 days. The best season for this trek is between Sep-Nov and March-May. This trek is classic trek offering you a wide range of bio and socio-cultural diversity.
Day 1: Kathmandu Arrival
You will be warmly greeted by Well Nepal at your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu and escorted to hotel. Enjoy Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Kathmandu Tour and trek Preparation (1360m)
This is your Kathmandu sightseeing day and preparation day too. You will visit famous Pashupatinath Temple (Lord Shiva’s) Temple, Swayambunath Stupa, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and other beautiful places of Kathmandu. If you need anything before heading towards Pokhara then you have to do shopping on this day. Then short briefing about trip is given and pre-trek discussion is done with trek leader and members. Feel free to ask any questions regarding your trek.
Day 3: Kathmandu to Beshisahar to Bulbule (840 M)
Morning Breakfast then drive to Basishar & Trek to Bulbule. And rest at Bulbule. Overnight at lodge
Day 4: Bulbule to Jagat (1100 M)
After breakfast we follow our trail through Marshyandi River to Jagat. You will encounter greenery, hills, vistas of mountains like Manaslu, Himchuli himal, LamjungHimal, Pisang peak and other, rivers, farms and villages. After long trek we stay at lodge at Jagat.
Day 5: Jagat to Dharapani (1960 M)
Today our journey will be very interesting as we leave Jagat and head towards Dharapani. We enter into Manang District and we will be passing through several rice, barley and potato fields which are very mesmerizing. You will enter village of Kodo and see its lifestyle. Furthermore steep climb from here leads to big village of Manang Valley called as Dharapani. It is a village where Manaslu pass joins and the people and their lifestyle is more Tibetan in here.
Day 6: Dharapani to Chame (2710 M)
We leave Dharapani in morning and follow our trails until we reach Chame. Along the way we enjoy small wooden bridges, landslides, waterfalls, Tamang Village, garden of apple and rest at the administrative headquarter of Manang i.e Chame. You get access to different hotels, Bank, telephone service and post office. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 7: Chame to Pisang (3300 M)
Early in the morning we leave Chame and head towards Pisang. The trails are steepy and rocky. We pass through several villages like Telukhu and Bharatang, entertained with the dramatic views of Annapurna II and Pisang peak and also valley of Himalchuli and Ngadichuli. The trail climbs through pine forests we reach at Pisang. Stay overnight at lodge in Pisang.
Day 8: Pisang to Manang (3500 M)
We will now trek above tree line and everyone can feel the oxygen getting thinner. The trail passes through Mani wall which is the largest part of Tibetans style village built with rocks. You will see famous Tilicho Lake, Pisang peak, monasteries and finally we are at the magic land of Manang. In Manang there is good provision of tea houses with food facilities.
Day 9: Rest Day
Today is for acclimatization day but we recommend you to exercise rather than being idle. You can visit surroundings from camp or visiting Gangapurna Glacier Lake is worth visiting. Another option to hang out is to visit Bhojo Gompa, a thirty minute climb from Manang give you spectacular view of Tilicho Lake and Annapurna 2 & 4.
Day 10: Manang to Yak Kharka (4110 M)
Crossing the fields of barley, potato, buckwheat, and climbing half hour to Tengi, north Marshyangdi valley, and passing through small streams, juniper trees, barberry and meadows of Gunsang village and we arrive at Yak Kharka after 5 hr of walking. Stay overnight at Lodge.
Day 11: Yak Kharka to ThorangPhedi (4600 M)
It can take generally up to 4 hour walk to reach Thorang Phedi from Yak Kharka. We trail east bank of Jorsang Khola, its bridge, and climbing tough up to the dry high Himalayas and then through steeply rocky path down we settle at Thorang Phedi.
Day 12: Thorang Phedi to Thorang la Pass (5416 M) to Muktinath (3800 M)
Today is our big day and big trek is ahead of us. The climax of this trek is to be conquered today. We start our trek with early breakfast and climb rocky trails and then follow icy slippery trails we are at amazing Thorang La Pass (5416 M) which will be your life time experience. Beautiful Vistas of mountains will certainly astonish you. One can feel headache and cold because of icy cold wind. Now after our lunch we trail downward to famous pilgrimage temple, Muktinath. This Vishnu temple is regarded as the way to salvation. We enjoy this Hindu and Buddhist temple and stay at a lodge.
Day 13: Muktinath to Jomsom (2760 M)
At morning you will visit Muktinath Temple without any breakfast. In Nepal, it is believed that one should not eat before visiting temple means you worship temple being pure. This is famous pilgrimage site for all Hindus and Buddhists all around the world and disciples from India, Tibet and Bhutan visit here every year. After rituals at temple, you will have your breakfast and trail down to Jomsom. Along the way you will experience amazing ruined village called Jarkot, Kali Gandaki Valley and 500 Years old Gompa. Stay overnight at lodge.
Day 14: Jomsom to Tatopani (1190 M)
You will reach Tatopani in about 3 hr by local transportation and take bath in natural hot springs. You will also visit Tatopani Bazaar and stay overnight.
Day 15: Tatopani to Ghorepani (2750 M)
After having breakfast you will depart for Ghorepani. You will pass through Kaligandaki river and its suspension Bridges. The trail leads you to villages of Beni, Ghara, Sikha, Phalete and Chittre. As you trail down to the path becomes muddy and slippery and get chance to pass by rhododendron forest and finally 8 hours of walk bring you to Ghorepani from where amazing panorama view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Range can be enjoyed. Overnight at Ghorepani.
Day 16: Ghorepani to Poon Hill and rest day
Early morning we climb up the steep trail to the viewpoint of Poon hill i.e. an icon of Annapurna region, from where great views of mountains and nature landscapes of mustang and Pokhara valley are seen. At sunrise everything seems so beautiful that words are not enough to describe it. After some tea/coffee we head back to Ghorepani and have full day rest. At this day you can visit this village and know its history, shop its local products and crafts. Overnight at lodge.
Day 17 Ghorepani to Ghandruk (1951 M)
We leave village of Ghorepani and follow the trails to Ghandruk. While trekking, you will encounter forests, waterfalls, thick dense rhododendron forest (making the forest Red), gardens of beautiful flowers, astonishing cherry blossom flowers, mountainous scenery of Annapurna, fish tail and other. Finally you rest at Ghandruk where the Gurung community people found mostly. Overnight at lodge.
Day 18 Ghandruk to Nayapul (1010 M) to Pokhara
After breakfast we trail down to Nayapul from where you’ll be driven to Pokhara. It’s about 1.5 hr ride from Nayapul and enjoy Pokhara rest of the day. Overnight at hotel.
Day 19: Pokhara to Kathmandu.
You will enjoy Pokhara as half day sightseeing at its best and comfort yourself with shopping and entertainments, foods and so on and recall what you have achieved from that trek, those beautiful natures, kinds of peoples, their lifestyle, different cultures and many more. We experience the culmination of a fantastic trek on a happy note with everyone back safe and sound with smile on faces. So, around 3 PM you will depart to Kathmandu. Stay Overnight at hotel.
Day 20: Departure from Kathmandu
Morning Breakfast in to the Hotel then mail the travel agencies, organize a photo with each other and drop you on the airport for departure.
