Day 1: Kathmandu Arrival
You will be warmly greeted by Well Nepal Treks at your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu and you will be escorted to hotel. After your formalities at hotel, you will be given short briefing on your accommodation and other facilities at hotel followed by a short briefing for tomorrow program. Enjoy Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing Day
Today is your Kathmandu city tour day. You will be having several cultural and natural sightseeing in this ancient city. Today we will have quality breakfast and you will be taken at Lord Shiva’s Temple called Pashupatinath Temple which is a UNESCO world heritage site so you will explore its arts and crafts and religious importance for Hindus
Pashupatinath Temple:The most famous tourist site in Kathmandu is Lord Shiva’s temple, Pashupatinath Temple, which lies about 5 Km north east of Kathmandu. This temple is holiest Hindu Pilgrimage Shrines in Nepal with two stored golden roof and four silver doors is situated on the bank of Bagmati river. Pashupatinath, 17th century temple, is a pagoda of brass and gilt with the silver plated gateways where non Hindus are not allowed to visit here but they can only see the gilded “Nandi, a bull”, Shiva’s Vehicle, inside the temple. They cannot enter the temple compound but can see the whole area from high Vantage point. It has very religious prestige and importance for Hindu’s all over the world and whole nation. Many tourists visit this holy temple every year and it is believed that one’s misfortune, bad luck, mistakes, obstacle in life and devotees sorrow are all washed away by Lord Shiva and give happy life after. Thousands of devotees gather in here during Shivaratri festival and worship their almighty. This festival tells everything about this temple, devotees and its importance.
BoudhanathStupa:Boudhanath stupa is the largest stupa (36 M high) of Nepal which is located about 8 Km North east of Kathmandu. The stupa was built in Lichhavi dynasty by King Dev in 5th century. It has octagonal base and hemisphere dome is topped by the square structure painted with Lord Buddha’s eyes with steps of enlightenment to the umbrella of Nirvana. Its base is surrounded by a wall with 147 niches each with 4-5 prayer wheels. The wheels are crafted with hundreds of notes of Buddha mantra “Om Mane Padme Hum” and with each turn of wheel hundreds of messages are sent to heaven symbolically. There is a Buddhist monastery and many Tibetan monks come to study here.
Swayambhunath stupa:Swayambunath stupa is a religious site in Kathmandu which is located on the top of the Padmachala hill, 175 m above the valley and 3 km to the west of the city. The word Swayambhu means "the self-existent" in English. The stupa is built 2500 years ago by the King Manadeva which offers an opportunity to study the religious harmony in Nepal. The stupa is about 20m in diameter and 10m high. The white hemispherical mound represents the four elements subscribing earth, water, wind and fire. Each side of the square stone has the eyes of Buddha which is the sign of true wisdom. The painted eyes on four sides represent the all seeing eyes of Buddha and are watching all the time wrong doers and good doers. This is a very religious shrine of Buddhists Tibetan monks, Brahmins priests and Newars nuns are the major worshipers here.
KathmanduDurbarSquare:Durbar Square is the spiritual heart of Kathmandu. This is a durbar of history and arts. Around here one can see artistic monuments, find the house of the living goddess i.e. Kumari temple, know Kal Bhairav temple, Hanuman dhoka and its red monkey god, and hundreds of erotic wood carvings. The Kasthamandap rest house located within the durbar square is said to have been built from a single tree from where Kathmandu valley got its name. There is also a museum located at the Durbar Square which presents a complete history of Nepal's King and Rulers. Overnight at Hotel
Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara
You will have breakfast then travel to Pokhara by Private Car (5/6 hour). After your arrival at Pokhara check –in at Hotel, afternoon you can enjoy shopping, boating in Phewa lake and visit villages, visit Bindabasini Temple, David’s fall, Mahendra Cave and a lot around there rest of the day. Day 4: Pokhara sightseeing Tours
With early breakfast you will hike to Sarangkot, beautiful village sitting on top of hill just 5 KM away from Lakeside of Pokhara, and view beautiful sunrise over the mountains. It offers panoramic view of green hills, Pokhara Valley, rural villages and several snowcapped mountains like Annappurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and surrounding peaks. You can perform paragliding here which will add more adventure in your tour. Then you will head back to your hotel. Overnight at Hotel
Day 5: Pokhara to Lumbini (Birth Place of Lord Buddha)
Today you will depart from Pokhara to Lumbini in our private vehicle covering about 160 Km with early breakfast. After 4 hours of drive we arrive at Lumbini, Land of Peace. Then you will be escorted to hotel and briefing you hotel facilities. After you had your lunch, we will head towards Lumbini Heritage sites and observe several monuments and pillars such as Asoka Pillar, Sacred Garden, Maya Devi temple, Ramgram, Kapilvastu Museum, Pushkarni Pond and some other monasteries around Overnight at Hotel
Day 6: Lumbini Tour and Drive to Chitwan
Today with early breakfast, we start touring the villages of Lumbini and interact with locals to know their cultures, traditions, living styles and much more. Then we depart for Chitwan after lunch. Traveling down the road for like 3 hours you are finally at Chitwan. After performing check in formalities at Chitwan hotel, you will be provided briefing on your accommodation and services.
Day 7: Chitwan Jungle activities
Today you will get wake up call for tea and coffee followed by nature walk. Exploring through jungle will be great for seeing 524 different species of birds and other wildlife. Then we come to back our place for breakfast and then we go for canoe ride along the Rapti River which also provides great opportunities for bird watching and we can also see the rare species of Crocodile i.e. Marsh Mugger and Fish eating Gharial. Enjoy jungle walk, Elephant safari, visit Elephant breeding center, etc. Enjoy Tharu cultural presentation and Tharu stick Dance at night followed by dinner.
Day 8: Chitwan to Nagarkot
Morning Breakfast at Hotel then Our tour guide will take you to the Tharu village where you can experience Tharu’s culture, festivals, traditions and practices as well as lifestyle. Then, you will have lunch and drive to Nagarkot via Kathmandu valley. Enjoy great natural scenery and small villages along the way. Overnight at Hotel in Nagarkot
Day 9: Nagarkot to Kathmandu via Bhaktpur & Patan Sightseeing
Nagarkot: The Nagarkot village is situated near Kathmandu that sits on the ridge to the north-east, and offers a view stretching from Dhaulagiri in the west to Kanchenjunga in the east. We recommend you to stay at Nagarkot and view the mountains at dawn. It is the most popular place to view the Himalayas and one of the best high place to observe beautiful sunrise and sunset over the mountains and hills.
Today will receive early morning wakeup call and you’ll be taken to Nagarkot high viewpoint to see sunrise. Your patience soon will pay off and you will be mesmerized by stunning sunrise over the mountains and hills. The feelings are beyond this world and you will also see mountains like Manaslu, Langtang and Mt. Everest. Then we head back to Kathmandu valley.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square
Bhaktapur, city of devotees, lies to the east 12 km away from Kathmandu. Durbar Square of Bhaktapur is impressive, wider, clean and beautiful with beautiful Lion Gate, Golden Gate, palace of 55 windows, Batsala temple, barking Bell, the statue of King Bhupatendra Mall on a stone pillar, public bath and temple of Pashupatinath. On the left you will find the tallest temple of Nyatapole which means 5 tiers representing symbols of 5 basic elements of nature such as water, wind, fire, earth and sky. This is a highest pagoda temple of Nepal ever built with architectural perfection and artistic beauty in 1702 AD by the King BhupatendraMalla. Next to Nyatapole is another giant temple of Bhairavnath, the God of Terror in three stories built in 1718 AD. If you walk ahead for about 20 minutes you will come to another square of a Dattatraya temple built in 1427 AD from a trunk of single tree. Behind the temple there is a monastery where you will notice exquisitely carved door frame and windows and also a famous peacock window back wall of the monastery.
Patan Durbar Square
The ancient city Patan, city of fine arts, lies 5 km to the south of Katmandu. Durbar Square consists of different sections of ancient palace like Sundarichowk (beautiful court yard), the Tushahity (Royal Bath) which is a master piece of stone carvings and others are Mulchowk (main court yard). There is a statue of King Narendra Malla sitting on the stone pillar in front of the palace in the main square. Next to it, there is a famous Krishna Mandir temple with 21 pinnacles built all of stones. Most of the people of Patan city are Buddhists. Patan is also very famous in its art work and many fine craftsmen in Patan who produce bronze/brass art work in different images/statues of Hindu/Buddhist Gods and Goddesses, silver jewelleries, wood carvings. Most of the handicrafts you see in the local shops of Katmandu valley are produced in Patan. And we move back to hotel in Kathmandu, Evening Dinner at Nepali Traditional restaurant.
Day 10: Departure
Morning Breakfast in to the Hotel then free till departure, Transfer to Airport.
