Day 1: Kathmandu Arrival (1360 M)
You will be warmly greeted by Well Nepal at your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu. Our representative will be waiting just in front of arrival door at TIA and then you will be picked and escorted to hotel. Enjoy Overnight at hotel. Enjoy Dinner service.
Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing (1360 M)
This is your Kathmandu sightseeing day and preparation day too. You will visit famous Pashupatinath Temple (Lord Shiva’s) Temple, Swayambunath temple, Bhaktapur Durbar square and other beautiful places of Kathmandu. If you need anything before heading out then you have to shop on this day. Here short briefing about trip is given and pre tour discussion is done with tour leader and members. Day 3: Kathmandu to Paro (2235 M) and explore
You will have scenic flight over the Himalayas of Nepal in morning and after one hour of flight you arrive at Paro Airport. Along the way you will get glimpse of Mt. Everest including other. You will be picked up in airport by our representative and escorts you to hotel. You will get freshen up and head out to explore Paro which is a beautiful valley with rich culture and architects, myths, legends and natural beauty. After your lunch you will visit Taktshang Lhakhang which is famously known as “The Tigers Nest”. To get here we hike uphill 900 M above the valley as it sits on a cliff. It is the most sacred place of Bhutanese and visited by each of them once in a lifetime. Then we visit Kyichu Lhakhang (7th century sacred shrine built by Tibetan King Songsten Gompo), Drukgyel Dzong (built by Shabdrung in 1647 for protection against invasion of Tibetan and from here Mt. Day 4: Paro to Thimpu (2320 M)
We take our breakfast and head out on a drive for Thimpu. Thimpu is the capital of Bhutan, which is also the largest region of Bhutan. You will be escorted to your hotel and after lunch you will explore Thimpu on this day. You can visit National memorial Stupa of Bhutan’s 3rd King, shopping, or Tashichho Dzong which is a government building which is the office of King and Throne room. Visit Takin Sanctuary where you can observe Bhutan National animal called Takin which has the head of Goat but body of Bull. Visit Simtokha Dzong (which is the place of profound tantric teaching) and Changangkha Lhakhang (12th century temple monastic school and temple). Explore its surroundings, Weekend Market, shops, Philatelic office and after lunch you will visit Zilukha Nunnery, Bhutan’s folk Museum, textile weaving center, zorig Choesuem, and get impressed with handicrafts. Day 5: Thimpu to Punakha (1250 M)
After breakfast we will head out for beautiful Punakha. It is 3 hour drive from Thimpu. Along the way you will get opportunity to see several vistas of Peaks if the weather is clear. We will pass through Dochu La Pass (3100 M) then further drive through rhododendron forest and hemlock. We will move along Punakha River and rice/farm fields and finally arrive at Punakha. On the way you will rest at Metshina Village and visit its Chime Lhakhang, which is a fertility temple dedicated to the Devine Madman. Also we visit National Library which has the ancient Manuscripts collections and traditional medicine institute. You will take lunch at Punakha and visit its cultural area. Its main historical and cultural site is Punakha Dzong (A Massive structure built at the junction of two rivers) also popular as “Palace of Great Bliss”. After visiting this site we head to our resort where we will stay overnight with full course meal- BLD
Day 6: Punakha to Trongsa
After an early breakfast, we will be driving down to Trongsa. Admire the view en route the valley of Wangdiphodrang. We will drive to Chimmi Lhakhang to start with. The Chimi Lhakang or the Chimel Lhakang is a Bhuddhist monastery located in the Punakha District of Bhutan. The monastery stands on a small hill close to the village of Lobesa and was constructed in 1499 by Ngawang Choegyel, the 14thDrukpaheirarch. We will also visit famous sites like Chendebji Chorten (19th Century Buddhist Stupa) and Trongsa Dzong or the Cheokhor Rabdentse (constructed in 1543) is one of the largest and most impressive Dzong in Bhutan.
Day 7: Leave Trongsa for Bumthang
Today we visit some of the fascinating aspects of Bumthang like Jakar Dzong, Jambay Lhakhang built in 659 AD, Kurjey Lhakhang and Namkhe Nyingpo gomba.
Day 8: Explore Tang Valley
Today’s main attraction will be exploring the beauty of Tang Valley, Spiritual Burning Lake (deep water pool in a gorge of the Tangchu River), Thangbi Lakhang ( Temple Built in 1470, can only be reached by completing a two hour walk up the picturesque Choker Valley of Bumthang), The Ugyen Cholling (Ancient Palace built in 17th Century) and National Handicrafts Emporium.
Day 9: Depart to Gangtey and Explore
Today we will leave Tang valley for our next adventurous Gangtey. We will explore its Gangtey Gompa highly associate with the Nyingmapa school of Buddhism. Then we will explore Phobjikha is a wide glacial valley which lies in close to the Gangtey Monastery. The Phobjikha valley is the winter home of the rare Black Necked Cranes that migrate from Tibet from the arid plains of Tibet to roost in the more comfortable climate of the Phobjikha Valley. Day 10: Drive from Gangtey to Paro
Today we will drive all the way back to Paro and on the way we will explore Simtokha Dzong Palace of the Profound Meaning of Secret Mantras. The Simtokha Dzong is said to be the first fortress to have been built by the legendary Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in Bhutan. The fortress was constructed in the year 1629. Later we also visit Rinpung Dzong also called as “The Heap of Jewels”.
Day 11: Depart Kathmandu from Paro (2235 M)
We will have breakfast and be driven to Paro Airport as this is your last day at Bhutan. If you have got time before flight enjoy shopping at Bhutan otherwise gather your luggage’s, collect equipment and memorial events and say good bye to Bhutan and leave for Kathmandu.
Day 12: Kathmandu Free Day
Today is your leisure day at Kathmandu you are free to enjoy any of the services and facilities at Kathmandu like sports games, shopping’s, movies, restaurants and Bars and get your beloved and close one a memory of Nepal. You will be organized a great Nepali Dinner program with us and your crew member. Enjoy Hotel tonight.
Day 13: Departure
Your Bhutan Culture and Heritage Tours comes to an end today! There is nothing to do than trade emails to travel friends and agencies, also organize your photos.
