Cultural Tour and Treks is a pilgrimage tour to Muktinath which is situated in the district of Mustang in the north central part of Nepal, at an altitude of about 3710 meters from the sea level at a distance of 110 kilometers north of Pokhara. Your journey begins with cultural and natural sightseeing at Kathmandu Valley followed by adventures and glorious mountain sightseeing at Pokhara. From Next day you will be trekking for Muktinath passing through dense forest, Himalayan vistas, small villages and experiencing typical way of life via several places like Ghorepani, Tatopani, Marpha, Kagbeni and finally at Muktinath where you will do religious activities.

Day 1: Kathmandu Arrival

You will be warmly welcomed by Well Nepal Treks representative at your arrival in Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu and escorted you to hotel and and our representative describe the itinerary of your tour. Stay overnight at hotel

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing Day

Today after breakfast you will going to explore the World Heritage Site of UNESCO, first you will start from Pashupatinath

Pashupatinath Temple: The most famous tourist site in Kathmandu is Lord Shiva’s temple, Pashupatinath Temple, which lies about 5 Km north east of Kathmandu. This temple is holiest Hindu Pilgrimage Shrines in Nepal with two tiered golden roof and four silver doors is situated of the bank of Bagmati River. Pashupatinath, 17th century temple, is a pagoda of brass and gilt with the silver plated gateways where non Hindus are not allowed to visit here but they can only see the gilded “Nandi, a bull”, Shiva’s Vehicle, inside the temple. They cannot enter the temple compound but can see the whole area from high Vantage point. It has very religious prestige and importance for Hindu’s all over the world and whole nation. Many tourists visit this holy temple every year and it is believed that one’s misfortune, bad luck, mistakes, obstacle in life and devotees sorrow are all washed away by Lord Shiva and give happy life after. Thousands of devotees gather in here during Shivaratri Festival and worship their almighty. This festival tells everything about this temple, devotees and its importance.

Then you will visit shortly Boudhanath Stupa which is the largest Stupa of the world.

Boudhanath Stupa: Boudhanath stupa is the largest stupa (36 M high) of Nepal which is located about 8 Km North east of Kathmandu. The stupa was built in Lichchhavi Dynasty by king Dev in 5th century. It has octagonal base and hemisphere dome is topped by the square structure painted with Lord Buddha’s eyes with steps of enlightenment to the umbrella of Nirvana. Its base is surrounded by a wall with 147 niches each with 4-5 prayer wheels. The wheels are crafted with hundreds of notes of Buddha mantra “Om Mane Padme Hum” and with each turn of wheel hundreds of messages are sent to heaven symbolically. There is a Buddhist monastery and many Tibetan monks come to study here. 

Then head out to Swayambunath Stupa situated on top of Hill which can easily be detected from any places of valley.

Swayambunath Stupa: Swayambunath stupa is a religious site in Kathmandu which sits on the top of the Padmachala hill, 175 m above the valley and 3 km to the west of the city. The word Swayambhu means "the self-existent" in English. The stupa is built 2500 years ago by the King Manadeva which offers an opportunity to study the religious harmony in Nepal. The stupa is about 20 m in diameter and 10 m high. The white hemispherical mound represents the four elements subscribing earth, water, wind and fire. Each side of the square stone has the eyes of Buddha which is the sign of true wisdom. The painted eyes on four sides represent the all seeing eyes of Buddha and are watching all the time wrong doers and good doers. This is a very religious shrine of Buddhists Tibetan monks, Brahmins priests and Newars nuns are the major worshipers here.

Then you will head to Kathmandu Durbar Square area and visit its palaces, museums, temples and other arts and crafts.

Kathmandu Durbar Square: Kathmandu Durbar Square is the spiritual heart of Kathmandu. This is a durbar of history and arts. Around here one can see artistic monuments, find the house of the living goddess i.e. Kumari temple, know Kal Bhairav temple, Hanuman dhoka and its red monkey god, and hundreds of erotic wood carvings.  The kastamandap rest house located within the durbar square is said to have been built from a single tree from where Kathmandu valley got its name. There is also a museum located at the Durbar Square which presents a complete history of Nepal's King and rulers. And stay overnight at hotel.

 Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara

After breakfast you will drive for Pokhara or you can go via flight. After your arrival at Pokhara you will be taken to your hotel then get fresh and you will move out to explore Pokhara by boating in Phewa lake and visit several places like Brindabasini Temple and surrounding of hotel. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Pokhara sightseeing tour

Early in the morning you will  hike to Sarangkot, beautiful village sitting on top of hill just 5 KM away from Lakeside of Pokhara, and from where you can view beautiful sunrise over the snowy capped mountain and it also offers panoramic view of green hills, Pokhara Valley, rural villages and several snowcapped mountains like Annappurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and surrounding peaks.  You can perform paragliding here which will add more adventure in your tour. Then you will have sightseeing at David’s fall, Mahendra Cave, Phewa Lake, White Peace Pagoda etc. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Pokhara to Ghorepani (2750 M).

After having quality breakfast we head to Nayapul by private car which is one hour drive and same day trek to Ulleri. From Ulleri you start trekking further ahead with spectacular views of Mount Annapurna south (7219m) & Himchuli (6441m) and places like Banthati and Tangethati from where Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167M), highest of Annapurna Region, looks stunning. After about 6 hours walk you rest at lodge.

Day 6: Ghorepani to Poon hill and trek Tatopani (1190 M)

Early in the morning you will climb up to Poon hill to see magnificent sunrise and 180 degree panorama of Annapurna region. Then you return back to Ghorepani then pass through villages called Sikha, Ghar Khola and suspension bridges you will arrive at Tatopani, hot spring. This place is regarded as a pilgrimage site and popular among the trekkers to sooth their tired legs and muscles. Stay overnight at Tatopani, 

Day 7: Tatopani to Marpha (2667 M)

fter Brekfast you headed towards Marpha passing through the deep gorge of Kali Gandaki valley, Waterfalls, khochepani we reach at Thakali village called Ghasa which is famous for different species of birds’ habitat. We will enjoy lunch at Ghasa then continue our journey. The trail steeply continues up through forests, rivers, villages-Lete, LarJung, Tukuche and some agricultural land. Stay at Marpha Village.

Day 8: Marpha to Kagbeni (2810 M)

After breakfast you will continue your journey to Kagbeni via Jomsom, headquarter of Jomsom District. Jomsom bears an airport too. Trailing through the Jomsom, Kali Gandaki valley, Panga River we reach at a village, Ekle Bhatti, located on a bank of two rivers. History says it is a salt trade route to Tibet through upper Mustang. During the way you will see some black stones at Kali Gandaki beach, Hindus believes them as face of god, “saligrams”, and worship them.  Stay overnight at Kagbeni.

Day 9: Kagbeni to Muktinath (3710 M)

After Brekfast trail continues to Muktinath through villages called Khingar and Jarkot. The journey will be with a special permit check through the river bank of Kali Gandaki up stream. There are lots of mountain and beautiful natural scenes which you can capture for your beautiful collections of trek. Further walk from dessert Jarkot leads to Pilgrimage site Muktinath Temple of lord Vishnu i.e. temple of Salvation. Both Hindu and Buddhist worship Muktinath temple. This temple has 108 stoned water taps and after taking bath from all those taps, believed that people will get salvation. Overnight Stay overnight at lodge 

Day 10: Muktinath to Jomsom (2700 M)

After your religious tasks at temple you will have breakfast and enjoying beautiful Dhaulagiri Mountain and Buddhist monastery we head back to Jomsom and take good lunch. We settle here for rest of the day today and engage exploring this beautiful town including Jomsom Bazaar/Market. Stay overnight at Lodge 

Day 11: Jomsom to Pokhara and drive to Kathmandu

After breakfast and head towards airport of Jomsoom which connects you to Pokhara directly. Enjoy the 15 minutes flight and you are at Pokhara. You will enjoy Pokhara shortly and then drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 12: Rest day

You must have got tired after such long tours so in this day you will have full rest. In order to get yourself relaxed and your body away from any physical disturbance, you can enjoy several healing therapies and massages. You can also do shopping and enjoy souvenir shops before leaving this mighty land. Tonight you will have recall what you have experienced and achieved from that trek, memories of  those beautiful natures, kind peoples and their lifestyle, different cultures and many more will just put smile on you forever. Tonight, you will have great Nepali dinner with your crew and teammates with great Nepali music’s. Enjoy free Dinner and hotel services tonight.

Day 13: Farewell

Today your Cultural Tour and Trekking In Nepal comes to an end so collects the photographs and gadget. Then our representative will help you to drop to the airport or if you have plenty of time to spend in Nepal, then feel free us to join another trip or adventurous acivities like hiking, river rafting, Bunjy Jumping, Paragliding etc.
